In the southern Yemeni city of Aden at least four died during the gun battle. This happened in a power struggle among separatist forces. This has created havoc across the area. A heavy gunfire took place throughout Crater. This comes under the area that houses government headquarters and the central bank. Aden became the major tension created area between the internationally recognized government and the STC over control of the south of the country.
Yemen’s Prime Minister Maeen Abdulmalik Saeed returned to Aden last week from Saudi Arabia. South Yemen is not in the situation to use their power. They are in trouble of being attacked and are currently facing downfall. Earlier Saudi Arabia had aimed at creating a peaceful agreement. However things didn’t go as planned. There were a lot of differences and it didn’t happen as directed by Saudi. The Arab coalition intervened in Yemen in 2015 against the Houthis. However this only worsened the already existing problem. This led to killing tens of thousands and pushing the country to the brink of famine.
Explosives-laden Houthi drone causes damage across Jazan :
In northern Yemen, fighting continued on Saturday. This perfectly planned across the strategically important city of Marib. Earlier the Houthis launched an offensive in February/ This aimed majorly to capture the city. They held this vengeance as Saudi controlled most of Yemen’s oil reserves, but have been repelled by government forces. Similarly the falling debris from an explosives-laden Houthi drone damaged houses and shops majorly. This happened on Saturday and luckily this intercepted by Saudi air defenses. Damages didn’t cause any causalities, death or injury fortunately. This mishap took place in the southern region of Jazan. The drone fragments scattered over a residential neighborhood in Uhud Al-Masarah governorate, The statement about the incident earlier given out by Col. Mohammed Al-Ghamdi, spokesperson for the Civil Defense Directorate in Jazan.
