Gold prices fell on Friday. At the Multi Commodity Exchange, gold rose by Rs 466,655 per 100 grams and silver by Rs 28 to Rs 50,77502 per kg at 10 am.
Gold fell slightly to 1,777 an ounce in the international market, while silver remained unchanged at ২ 2.29 an ounce.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), gold fell by Rs 733 per 100 grams, or 0.06 per cent, to Rs 47,020 for delivery in June.
Gold demand in India rose by 37 per cent to 140 tonnes in the January-March 2021 quarter compared to the same period last year. During this period, demand for COVID-19 has increased due to relief, softening and suppression of gold prices.
