The “International School on Nuclear Security in Arabic” program is being host by Naif Arab University. Which is for Security Sciences in order to foster Arab-international collaboration in nuclear security.
From Oct. 3 to 14, 48 experts from 12 countries will participate in a program organized by the International Atomic Energy Agency. Also in collaboration with NAUSS and the Nuclear and Radiological Regulatory Commission. In addition to provide an overview of nuclear security. Which aimed at junior professionals in institutions concerned with atomic security. Also relevant institutions in Arabic-speaking countries.
The school’s goal is to present basic nuclear security ideas. Which are require to comprehend international requirements in the sector. As well as methods to satisfy any responsibilities imposed by the worldwide atomic security legal framework.
An international legal framework supporting nuclear security. which is identifying and resolving atomic security risks. Also equipment and methods for physical protection of nuclear facilities. In addition radiation-detection devices and detection tactics. Also techniques will all be a part in the program.
It also involves practical exercises aimed at incorporating newly gained information into national planning. Also procedures for defending against nuclear security threats.
In the context of its collaboration with important international institutions. NAUSS has hosted a number of symposiums and conferences.
In addition, the Security Research Center at NAUSS has publish a collection of research and publications in this field. Also 38 master’s and doctoral theses have been a part throughout the university faculties.
NAUSS recently held courses on “Combating Nuclear Terrorism: The Security and Protection of Radioactive Substances”. “Facts about Nuclear Risks,” “Nuclear and Biological Risks,” and “Nuclear Security Strategy in Arab Countries,” among other topics.
