The Comedy Club in Jeddah remained closed for a prolonged while due to the pandemic breakout. Now they are back in business. Fans are all excited and are flocking back to get to enjoy hours of laughter. For almost 500 days, the club was left empty as it had to follow the coronavirus regulations. The club performs live shows four days a week now: Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. During the pandemic crisis and things going digital, the club put forth entertaining content on its YouTube channel. The club plans for future events after the summer season finished on Sept. 25.
People are very happy to get back to the club. Al-Amoudi, the manager of the club revealed that there are plans for bigger and better shows. He added that the club sponsored by the GEA and received special attention from its governor, Turki Al-Sheikh. GEA happened to be the primary sponsor of the club during the Jeddah and Sharqiya seasons in 2019. This club was founded in 2012. This initially called the Jeddah Comedy Club. The club located in Al-Shallal Theme Park. This hosts theatrical shows, stand-up comedy, improvisation, and musical nights. As an add on they also perform theatricals and sketches. They write, edit, act it, and perform it all by themselves.
The manager also added that they are on the hunt for female comics as part of the club’s future expansion. They plan to provide courses and prepare them for the entertainment world. A talent hunt is also going across the Kingdom. Vision 2030 supports all arts in various fields and supports the development of the youth of the country. These are in line with the Vision 2030, and the club plans to add in to developing the talents around.
