The Saudi Electronic University (SEU), located in Riyadh, launched the Women’s Research Accelerator (WEmpower) a few days ago. The program aims at boosting and improving the skills of its female faculty and postgraduate students.
The 10-day program is going to be held virtually. It offers the participants the opportunity to connect with and learn from the research experts in over 60 sessions or through individual masterclasses. These research experts are from multiple public universities and government institutions in Saudi Arabia. Therefore, It will help the participants build their research capacity and skills in multiple areas. These areas include quantitative and qualitative research, mixed methods and literature reviews, academic writing skills, and many more. They also include ethics on research, the principles of innovation, and how to obtain funding. Moreover, they will also receive guidance on publishing in peer-reviewed journals.
