COVID: Saudi Arabia records 321 new cases and 8 deaths

On 25th August 2021, The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia reported eight new COVID-19 deaths. The overall death toll is at 8,505. Out of the newly recorded cases, 74 were from Riyadh, 57 from Makkah, 32 from the Eastern Province, and 20 from Madinah. The ministry also said that 549 patients recovered from the disease. The number of recoveries is now 530,382. The region with the highest recovery rate is Riyadh followed by Makkah and Eastern Province.

Currently, more than 35 million people in Saudi Arabia received the COVID-19 vaccine. Around 62.30 percent of the population received the first dose while 38.46 percent received both doses. So far, the Kingdom has conducted 27,097,223 PCR tests. PCR testing centers and treatment hubs are set up throughout the country. Taakad centers provide COVID-19 testing for those who show no or only mild symptoms of the virus or believe they have come into contact with an infected person. Tetamman clinics provide treatment and advice to those with virus symptoms. The ministry advised the public to register with the Sehhaty app to receive the vaccine, and adhere to the measures and abide by instructions.
