NO Test needed to enter Abu Dhabi:
The Abu Dhabi Crisis and Disasters Committee stated that the COVID-19 test not necessary. For entering Abu Dhabi NO Covid-19 Test needed to enter Abu Dhabi from September 19, Sunday. Note this rules is for Emirates people.
Travel from within the UAE:
Saturday’s statement explains that citizens and tourists travelling to Abu Dhabi from other emirates not needed to present a COVID-19 test result from tomorrow, September 19.
The Abu Dhabi Media Office said that the judgment reflects the decreased COVID-19 disease rate in the emirate. Currently it is at just 0.2 per cent of total tests done. In addition, the difference in entry rules also supports the activation of the green pass system to access some public places.
New changes in rules:
Current update in August. Non-vaccinated passengers had to give a negative PCR test result that appeared within 48 hours before entry. OR a negative DPI result published within 24 hours before entry into Abu Dhabi. Non-vaccinated tourists also had to take further tests on the fourth and eighth days of Abu Dhabi.
Vaccinated tourists can enter the emirate with a ‘green pass’ and an active E or star icon on the Alhosn app. While a PCR test is compuslory to get the E/star icon, no additional tests for vaccinated tourists.
This is the law that replaced with Saturday’s news. Starting Sunday, all guests can enter Abu Dhabi without covid-19 testing.
The committee continued that they would remain to monitor events and inspire all residents and visitors to continue taking precautionary steps to protect public health and security, maintain progress, and advance the nation’s sustainable return.
