Brand Dubai:

The artistic arm of the Govt of Dubai Media Office, in partnership with the (RTA). Both launch the second phase of the ‘Parking Meters Project’. Five Emirati digital specialists will paint their concept of ‘Culture Meets Modernity’ on the meters.

Fatma Al Mulla:

The project manager said. “One of the key goals of this project is to promote skilled local artists. The artworks is use to enhance parking meters in areas seen by both citizens and tourists. From the Burj Khalifa, Al Wasl, Business Bay. 2nd December Street, Marsa Dubai, Al Ras, Gold Souq, Al Shandaghah, Al Buteen, Al Rega Al Buteen.”

The Emirati artists:

 All are participating in the plan cover artist and illustrator Mohamed Aljneibi. He enjoys exploring different designs. Mediums and art forms including cubism, surrealism and storytelling. Saeed Alemadi, whose art combines favourite cartoon figures with Emirati history and heritage.

Shaima Al Suwaidi:

The different artworks highlighted on the parking meters serve as a captivating showcase of Dubai’s rich culture. Also shows an contemporary multicultural character. These artistic projects are aim at heightening Dubai’s city spaces. It is part of the image to further strengthen the emirate’s status as the world’s most favoured lifestyle destination.”
