ON FRIDAY, the UAE Ministry of Health came with a report on New COVID CASES in UAE 300, recovered 375. Mask rules are easing now due to low rates of COVID cases. In more than six public places, masks are not compulsory in UAE. This relief came after almost 1.5 year in the country. 

Places like exercising in public places; when members of the same family travel in their private vehicles. At beaches and swimming pools. Alone in closed places, at salons or beauty centres, and medical centres.

Booster dose in the US:

On Thursday, the Centers for covid Control and Prevention recommended booster shots for millions of older or otherwise weak Americans, opening an important new phase in the US vaccination drive against Covid-19. CDC Director Dr Rochelle Walensky signed off on a series of support from a panel of experts late Thursday.

The doctors said boosters should be given to people 65 and older, nursing home citizens and those ages 50 to 64 who have risky underlying fitness problems. The booster dose is given once they are at least six months past their newest Pfizer shot. However, Walensky chose to make one suggestion that the panel had refused.

WHO on Antibody treatment:

Meanwhile, the World Health Organisation (WHO) confirmed the synthetic antibody treatment Regeneron for Covid-19, but only in cases with special health profiles.

Persons with non-severe Covid-19 who are nevertheless at huge risk of hospitalisation can take the antibody combo. However, according to a WHO finding published in BMJ, critically ill patients cannot mount an adequate immune response.

Regeneron is only the third treatment for Covid approved by the global health authority. It is added in the “living WHO guideline” on drugs for Covid-19.
