Face coverings along with social distancing and handwashing were shown to lessen the number of cases of Covid-19 by 53%. All three are the most important tools to fight against the coronavirus.

Thereby, the researchers stated that the reports show the importance of continuing precautions such as social distancing, wearing masks and handwashing in controlling the spread of the virus.

Also, vaccination programmes have played a vital role in preventing the spread of coronavirus.

Mask rules in UAE to avoid Covid-19:

The authorities of the UAE has required everyone in the country to wear a mask when they are outside their homes. This rule is being followed by the public since April 2020.

The number of Covid-19 cases is decreasing day by day. According to the reports, there were less than 100 Covid-19 patients in the state since October 1. The authorities said that it is very essential for people to continue wearing masks and following other safety protocols to fight against the virus.

The official spokeswoman of the UAE Health Sector, Dr Noura Al Ghaithi, said that wearing masks, sanitising hands and social distancing will become the new lifestyle in the coming days. This statement was given by her at a Covid-19 briefing in October 2021.

There is a high risk of the spread of the mutants of coronavirus. So, it is the need of the hour to stay abide by these measures.

Relaxation in wearing a mask:

Previously, in September, the UAE relaxed the rule of using face masks. According to this, it was not mandatory to wear masks at the beach or by the pool, in a barbershop or salon, when exercising outside, while alone in an indoor place, while in a car with people from the same household, while undergoing diagnosis at medical centres. These rules are applicable for all emirates except for Dubai. The reason behind this is Dubai has created its own set of Covid-19 regulations measures.
