Scream

The remade slasher film is now playing in UAE theatres.

Scream, starring Neve Campbell and Courteney Cox, resurrected horror twenty-five years ago with its self-aware take on the increasingly stale or formulaic slasher genre. Now, a new film called Scream, starring Campbell and Cox, is back to breathe new life into the you get the idea.

“Thank God we’re working in a franchise and a universe where it’s okay for a film to be wildly self-reflexive,” said co-director Tyler Gillett. “We had more instances of that meta experience than we can count while making the film.”

Like those in the 1996 original, Characters in the new Scream spend much of the plot debating horror movie tropes to figure out which one of the female? Black? The virgin? will be the next to perish. They realize that the most recent wave of attacks in their befuddlingly violent California hometown targets people connected to the killers 25 years ago.

“There are certain rules to survival, trust me, I know,” a returning David Arquette tells his younger, new co-stars. Several locations and scenarios are also revisited in the film.

It begins with a scene reminiscent of Drew Barrymore’s infamous and shocking death in the original. When she erroneously answered her landline, with the killer on the other end, before the opening credits have even rolled.

In the first scene of the new film. A Gen-Z teen is perplexed to discover that her parents’ old landline still works. And she initially refuses to answer. “The disregard we all have for landlines it’s fun for us,” co-director Matt Bettinelli-Olpin said.

His vegan outlets at the Expo serve a variety of delectable fare.

Is plant-based cuisine the way of the future? According to celebrity chef Matthew Kenney, best-selling author, and raw food culinary tour de force, the answer is unequivocal yes.

What better place to establish this than at Expo 2020 Dubai?

Kenney has three plant-based food ideas at the venue: Veg’d, XYST, and Mudra, which offers all-day breakfast sandwiches, afternoon tea, vegan small food bites and desserts, and a rooftop venue with plant-based sushi, BBQ, and a cocktail menu.

If that is not acceptable to whet your appetite, read our interview with the guru of plant-based cuisine himself. Who will be staying our fair shores soon, to learn why Vigenary is not as boring as it is assembled out; to be!

Why do you think plant-based cuisine is the food of the future?

Chef Matthew

I genuinely believe that the world is awakening and that people are becoming more concerned about what they put into their bodies, so the future of plant-based cuisine is undoubtedly bright. But we’re just getting started.

Aside from the obvious health benefits, why do you think going vegan is the way to go for us?

This, I believe, could be a turning point for the Middle Eastern vegan movement. Dubai has always been a dissolving pot of different cultures, with many vegan options. We now hope that our venue can show visitors that eating a plant-based diet recharges you and gives your body a break from heavy meats and dairy.

You will discover that you have a lot more energy, that the benefits for both your body and mind are endless. And that it does not have to be boring. Diners can motionless enjoy pizza, sushi, nachos, and other delectable foods while adhering to a healthy diet.
