Gold and silver prices recorded weakness as the market opened on Monday. At 10.30 am on Monday, the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) gold price was at Rs 45362.00 per 10 grams. Rupee traded at Rs 64,465 per kg, down Rs 204.00.
The price of 22 carat 10 gram gold in Delhi stood at Rs 44,410 as against Rs 44,400 yesterday.
Gold prices in the spot market have broken more than 22 percent from record highs. In August 2020, the spot price of gold in the Delhi Bullet Market reached Rs 57,008 per 10 grams. This is the highest level of gold so far. In the spot market, the price of gold has now dropped by 22 percent.
It should be noted that due to the tariffs imposed on gold by different state governments, the price of gold varies in the cities of the states.
