Govt of Canada Announcement:
Justin Trudeau-led Canadian Govt on Sunday lifted a month-long ban on passenger flights from India. The reason for the band we all know is Covid-19 protocols.
“As of September 27, 2021, nonstop flights from India to Canada is going to resume,” said the Govt of Canada on Sunday.
No more extension:
Earlier Tuesday, Canada increased the restriction on all straight commercial and special passenger flights from India until September 26.
However, with the ban terminating tourists from India can now travel to Canada with a few preventive measures, including a negative Covid-19 test report from an authorised laboratory.
Rules to Follow:
“Indian travelers must have evidence of a negative Covid-19 test from the certified laboratory at the Delhi airport. The report rules are like this. It should be of 18 hours, not more than that. So the latest report is only going to be counted. Govt of Canada said clearly if reports are before 18 hours of departure, you cannot visit Canada.
Flights to be started from both countries:
Air Canada is anticipated to continue its flights from India on September 27, while Air India is going to start its flights to Canada from September 30.
Many Indians who want to visit Canada are now free to come to Canada. The good thing is now covid-19 cases are going down worldwide. Protocols of covid-19 are now easing in many countries. So we can expect good tourism or, say, normal tourism in many countries from 2022.
