He explained that “a new authentication feature is available for iOS device users and will soon be rolled out for Android users as well. In the next few months you may also get a new update on the Messenger app.
FaceID – Fingerprint will enable app lock
Sullivan stated that “after the new feature comes, you will be able to add an extra protection layer on the app. The new feature found on the Messenger app will use the device’s privacy settings and lock the Messenger app via face authentication or fingerprint .
The show will be a new privacy section
A new privacy section with this feature has been included in the app. In addition to the ‘App Lock’ toggles, users will also have shows like messaging settings, secret conventions, blocked people, story audiences and muted stories.
