5G was available in 39% of Saudi governorates at the end of Q1

5G services reach 2 new Saudi regions in q1 2021, they reached three additional Saudi governorates during the first quarter, the Information technology Commission and the Communications announced on its quarterly Meqyas report.
5G services are deployed by STC and Zain in 43 governorates and the report also showed that Mobily offered it in 21 governorates.

Meqyas, an initiative of the CITC, compares the speeds of service providers in the Kingdom for download, upload, and 5G, ranking the best performing operators in each region and covering the most commonly used applications and video games.

53 out of 136 governorates of the Kingdom had 5G services amounting to 39 per cent of the regions at the end of the quarter.
There is an average download speed of 5G services in the Kingdom which is 322.42 Mbps during the quarter.
The average download speed recorded by Zain is 350.47 Mbps and the second place with an average speed recorded by STC is 348.33 and the third place with an average download speed of 231.83 which was recorded by Mobily.
