Banks will be closed for a total of 11 days in March. This includes four Sundays and two second Saturdays.
Banks will be closed on March 5, 11, 22, 29 and 30, according to the RBI. Customers planning to visit their respective banks in March are advised to plan their trips according to their bank holidays.
Nowadays where bank branches will be closed, mobile and internet banking will continue to function as usual. Customers will be able to manage transactions through online mode.

Meanwhile, a number of banking unions have called for a nationwide strike against the government’s plans to privatize the banking sector, prompting banks to close in mid-March. The two-day strike will be observed on March 15 and 16.
