Rising prices of petrol and diesel are creating big problems for the people. State-owned oil companies today raised the prices of these two fuels for the fifth day in a row. Due to the increase in price, the price of petrol has reached Rs 100 per liter in many cities of the country.
The price of petrol has been increased by 25-30 paise and diesel by 35 paise by government fast companies. In Ganganagar district of Rajasthan, the price of petrol has now reached Rs 98.98 per liter. The price of diesel has also gone up by Rs 90.82 per liter.
In Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, petrol is being sold at Rs 96.39 and diesel at Rs 86.86 per liter. The financial capital of the country is said to be Mumbai selling petrol at 99.93 and diesel at 85.70, petrol at 99.40 and diesel at 43.4 at and Patna petrol at 90.84 and diesel at 3.99.
Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has told the Rajya Sabha that the Union government will not cut any tax on petrol and diesel.
