While the developed countries declared the 2020-21 season as zero years, the Union Ministry of Education avoided a year of student deterioration by not having zero years. Now the entire focus of the government in the Union Budget is to pursue education on the hybrid theme keeping in mind the challenges.
A new scheme will be introduced to provide education to the last student, digital and remote. For this, the country’s education budget is also expected to increase by 5 to 7 or 8 percent.
Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the Union Budget on February 1. According to sources, after the epidemic, there will be more focus on linking education with technology. Therefore, there will be a special provision for education on the hybrid theme in the budget.
Earlier in the self-reliant India campaign, education has been taken forward on a priority basis to the country. In such a situation, it is expected that after the opening of school and college from the 2021 session in the education budget, there will be an emphasis on continuing online classes with traditional classrooms.
Under this, a special curriculum is also to be prepared. It will have both online and offline modes. This means that both the classroom and online will be taught from a syllabus based course. For this, the online library lab has to be converted from a classroom to a smart classroom.
Apart from this, a special training campaign is also to be started to get teachers connected with technology. To connect the students with employment from schools, training in skill development, new courses like artificial intelligence, internships, etc. have to be done.
In the Union Budget 2020, more than one lakh crore rupees were received for education. However, in the Union Budget 2021, it is likely to reach 125 lakh crore.
Research, Innovation, and Startup:
The budget is also expected to increase in the budget of research, innovation, and startups. In fact, the National Education Technology Forum and the National Research Foundation will start functioning under the new Education Policy 2020 from the session 2021. To implement this, the setup has to be done in all educational institutions.
Government school up to 12th and provision of breakfast:
In the new Education Policy 2020, government schools up to eighth and 10th grades are to be upgraded to 12th standard. Implementation of self-reliant India campaign per class per TV channel scheme. The village panchayat is also to be included in education. Students in Panchayat buildings will be able to take advantage of online government schemes through TV etc. Apart from this, there will also be an announcement to include breakfast with midday meals in the midday meal.
