10 million pilgrims performed Umrah revealed by the Saudi Ministry

The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah made an announcement. They revealed that 10 million pilgrims successfully performed Umrah since Oct. 4 last year. This done after the launch of its “safe Umrah” procedures. The pilgrims returned back to the two holy Mosques gradually following this. Additionally also revealed that more than 12,000 visas issued since the Kingdom began to welcome pilgrims. People from other countries started coming back from Aug. 10 this year.

The ministry doing its best to take care of the heath and safety of pilgrims, worshippers and visitors. They are informed to adhere to all the precautionary measure listed to prevent the spread of Covid-19. The aim at reaching a maximum of 3.5 million pilgrims, visitors and worshippers a month. However the current count is only about 70,000 per day. Full vaccination is mandatory to enter the premises for worship. The permits issued through the Tawakkalna application. IN the Kingdom, vaccination approved for people above the age of 12 by the Health authorities.

A very organized and attentive set of procedures followed by the authority. This includes a recognized certificate confirming immunization with an approved vaccine. This done to keep track on the heath condition and safety of the pilgrims. Saudi authorities are working tediously on updating the list of countries from which pilgrims can enter the Kingdom. This list noted on the nations pandemic condition and recently there an increase in the pilgrims arriving. International visitors have to mandatorily register their vaccination status on the Muqeem platform. This has to be done 72 hours before traveling. Pilgrims can avail assistance from Ministry of Hajj and Umrah care centers for further information regarding their travel.
